Barnes and Wong aren't helping here. Not that the Sox have done much to help themselves this game.

How about striking out the side after working his way back after 4 years? How awesome is that for the kid?

Considering they've scored only 3 runs in the past two games, they're lucky to have won one of them.

Boston's Patriot Day......the Red Sox stink up the joint and get clobbered by the Twins 8-3.  Tonight  there is a ceremony of remembrance and honor for one of their finest---Jerry Remy, and what happens?   They go out and smell putridly in another disgraceful performance.  Maybe the Red Sox might do so much better if they never had these  type of nights to honor one of their won because it seems the results are usually very sad.  Sorry Jerry, our guys just can't seem to rise to the occasion on these evenings.

Yes, a lot of distractions.  I was hoping getting back to night games would help but I guess not.  Now a day game today and then a 10 game road trip all with the division.  Let's hope the Sox don't get knocked back as they play more against Toronto and then TB.

We are big UNC fans and we were quite happy when Duke had a celebration for Coach K before his final home game.  I think these things suck up some of the home team energy.
