Nice play by Moreland going into short right field to catch a pop up over the shoulder.

Good to see the Sox running to stay out of the GIDP situations. Paid off with a run.

I hope Meatball Matt is on a very short leash.

Barnes done good. Good game. Glad they split the series. On to NY.

Good job Sox. A split in a 4 game series against a decent team is nothing to sneeze at.

Great heart from Sales.  He is a real gamer.  Hope this means Andrew has broken out of his slump.

On to New York !!!   Go SOX... thumb_u rofl iono slap

Beni done good today. But Hanley went cold after a good day yesterday.  If these 2 are clicking we're good.

Sale settles down and get W#7

A lot of good stuff in this game.  Benitendi getting his stroke back, Sale pitching through a rough first inning but getting the job done.  They overcame some sloppy play, which they're bound to have with an infielder out of position.  They also won one where Kimbrel wasn't available.

Let's hope these winning ways carry over into NY.

It ought to be interesting.  Now that the Yankees have some young studs and the team are in 1st and 2nd, it gives this series a little more jazz than recent Sox-Yanks matchups the past few years.  I probably won't see much of tomorrow as I'll be away for work but am looking forward to seeing how they match up.  What's clear is that the Sox have talent but they also have a lot of flaws.  If they expose their flaws - hitting for power, fielding, especially with Sandoval back and Pedey out, and running into outs - they'll get their hats handed to them.

Not sure what to make of the pitching matchups either - Pomeranz vs. Tanaka (with a 6+ ERA) and then Rick "Cy Who?" Porcello vs. Sabathia who is pitching well.
