So Hamilton takes the place of O'Neill, after they shift the others. O'Neill was cleared for the concussion, but Cora is going to sit him until Thurs. game.
Basement dwellers, again.
Sox continue to befuddle the doctors. Witlock was pulled early with left oblique tightness, a yearly event it seems. Then Devers is grimacing with a knee issue, the guy is falling apart. He will get some imaging. Those are some key pieces missing late in this game and the next.
I was wondering why Whitlock came out so early. At least I heard the update later on why Dalbec (no hits) was batting for Devers (one of the few who can hit). Then of course Kenley continues his follies while earlier in the game watching Valdez wave at balls as they go by, Casas trying to steal a base he had no shot at, somehow not tagging out that guy at home, the "hits" (not actual hits) go on.
No defense, poor baserunning, a bad bullpen and solo homers don't win games.
