Sea Dog 23

So Trevor Story is sitting out.  He was beaned last night but stayed in the game.

Sea Dog 23

Runs from unexpected places.  Dalbec goes deep in the 6th, Arroyo RBI single in the 7th.  Now 5-3 in the 8th.

If it weren't for that pathetic BP implosion last night they'd be at .500 now.

Markj, I'd argue that even simply a bad bullpen and this is 27 -19.

The desperation to get some 1B offense cost us any chance at getting some BP value out of dalbec in a trade.

You guys did an excellent job is ripping the team and that damn bullpen for their miserable and gutless performance last night. It is amazing how this team can disgrace itself the way it has this season and in so many of our off-seasons in the past----2012-2012-2114-2015 and 2020.

The fact we came back momentarily and took the opener of the double header only partly makes up for that miserable performance last night, but whether Ales Cora just decided to rest his miserable bullpen or simply let Nathan Eovaldi stretch it out was a good move.  A complete game victory was needed at this point but let's not kid ourselves.  We need to win the nightcap and then come back tomorrow and finish this series on a high note.  It can be done and it must be done for the team to save face.   Three out of four is good, two out of four is not, and one out of four stinks as badly at our bullpen Friday night.  Just get the job done Alex, and if we have a one run lead in the ninth inning this evening DO NOT PUT HANSEL ROBLES IN THE GAME TO CLOSE IT OUT.  HE HAS FAILED EVERY TIME AND HE WILL FAIL AGAIN.  Better, get a decent lead and sweep the DH.  Stop disgracing yourselves.
