Combination of day game, a guy who's pitching very well and it being the 2022 Red Sox, I don't have much hope for this one.  Of course there's little reason for hope against anyone at this point.

And the ship goes down another fathom  hoot hot!!!!!!! No way we win today or tomorrow, right Bloomer Boy, you gutless son of a bitch.

Sea Dog 23

I saw ERod's stat line 0-2, 5.33era.  One smart move, one, by Chain not to chase that loser. A blind pig, yada, yada. But then he goes amok and extends Barnes for two years, then passes on Rodon, Gausman, and McHugh who are all having good years.

Julian McWilliams tweeted today that Sale has a "non- baseball medical setback",  i.e. Covid it seems.  He's another few weeks behind.  Also Paxson is experiencing " elbow soreness" after post TJ workouts.

Pivetta through 5 without giving up a run. But of course the deadbats aren't supporting him a bit.

markj

Devers gets a double to bring Franchy home, but that's all the weak-kneed offense could muster. Story gets thrown out at home by a mile on an infield hit and JDM K's on a pitch in another area code.

markj

Pivetta through 6 cleanly. Not complaints there. He's doing his job. Shame the rest of the team can't.

markj

Another inning of pathetic offense. Two wimpy infield grounders to 1B and a K. Sad.

Amazing, 2nd and 3rd with nobody out.  Sox have figured out how to lose this one.

markj

Once again, the lack of a closer is going to bite them. That and inexcusable first batter walks.

Venable is stupid.  As we all know insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.  Robles was wild against the Angels.  So our brain dead bench coach burns two relievers who did not walk a man to bring in Robles who walks the leadoff batter.  Insanity!

longgame

Another blown save.  They have to score now and not give the bullpen a chance to come back into the game.

longgame

Great to have Bobby “No Contact” Dalbec up there.
