Austin Davis vs Martin Perez. This should be a slugfest.

Perez has pitched well this year.  Our bullpen, not so much.  Plus, will Cora resist the temptation to rest his regulars?

Big series with Houston coming.  They could get tired today, then return to Boston.  Astros travel from DC.

I was upstairs, had the game on and it was 1-1.  Came downstairs to take something out for dinner and happened to look at my iPad and saw it was 5-1.  That didn’t take long.

Brasier at your service today.  Bad timing for his appearance.

Brasier should be sent down to the minors to work on a pitching specialist who will teach this bum to off center the ball, or hold it differently or work on a new release point because he cannot serve the team at all with his straight as an arrow fastball that comes blazing in flat and goes screeching out faster.  I'm sick and tired of seeing this guy keep giving up morale and team crushing home runs that kill our chances of winning.  Somebody get to Cora quick because this FRC of a manager still does not understand that Brasier and Robles and Barnes among others are killing us.

I don't know why or even how they could have pulled it off roster-wise, but I was hoping they would have done a call-up this weekend instead of a BP game.

Anyhow, that went downhill in quick fashion today.2 HRs, 4 runs in what, 3 pitches? It was a game and then it was over.

doh!!!

Well, low and behold, it was at least on the table. From Cora on the MLB site:
"“We’ve got the guys that we have here and then we actually got what we wanted -- five innings and we had it set up for the rest of the day,” Cora said. “We didn’t make pitches in the sixth inning and we weren’t able to get to the last part of the game.”"

I guess the train to and from Worcester would have been too messy, roster-wise.
