The righty's control has been phenomenal, as he has four walks and 38 strike-
outs. Porcello has allowed just one home run.
TEXAS:
BARTOLO COLON, RHP, 1-0, 2.87 ERA, 21K
Colon faced a season-high 27 batters in his last start against the Blue Jays.

Gamer over, no longer needs to be played........Bradley back in the lineup; two strikeouts, most likely another 0for and we lose. Leon? Needs to be DFA's, like yesterday.
This is disgusting and is nothing more than prejudicial favortism for a player who simply doesn't belong in the lineup.
Watching NESN pre game show. Even Lyons and Ecketsley are questioning putting Bradley in the lineup and sitting Moreland who is hot.
Sox go down 1-2-3 to start the game.
Decent 1st inning for Porcello.
JD dinger. Sox up 1-0.
Porcello looking great so far. So offense, not so much.
Dammit, I jinxed him. No sooner typed that post above and he gives up a solo dinger. Now tied at 1.
Raffy get the run back with a massive blast to RF. 2-1
Mookie goes yard again. Now 3-1.
OH well, SOX looking good.... Lets see what they look like in the morning !!....... thumb_u
Beni with a nice catch. Sort of. Maybe. No challenge, so it stands as an out.
Raffy with another dinger. Aside from round-trippers, Sox have had almost no base runners.
And the idiots at NESN are back to running the same damn commercial at every stinking break.
Sox finally get a base runner (Leon - walk) and then bring him around to score. 5-1
Barnes done good. 1-2-3 with 2 Ks.
Kelly and Poyner were both excellent. Sox win 5-1.
Porcello continues to be the Cy Young he was 2 years ago. And that's a VERY good thing considering Price has gone belly up.
Mookie's off the charts. 13 dingers already...
How about OUR RED SOX ?? 23 & 9 !!! As DAD would say, "SON, if J F had a start like this, he would still be HERE" !! thumb_u OH yes, how about BOBBY POYNER ??? thumb_u
Looking ahead, we've got to produce big run totals in NY next week. We're staring Pom and Price first two before Porcello might save us in game 3, although he draws Sabathia. As their scheduling would have it, the Yanks have lined up the top of their rotation against us. lawdy, lawdy.
If I was under Cora's cap, I'd hold out Sale tomorrow and pitch him against Severino on Tuesday. But that's just me.

If we win tonight I would consider that a good move piting Sale against Severino because Pom has no chance to win that game with the shit he's been dispensing so far, and Severino will not be a pinata against us this time around. We need to slow the Yankees down and we sure can't on Pom to suddenly get it right after those two crappy performances. He is simply not yetr eady to give us top notch efforts. If, however, we lose tonight, a decent chance of that happening since we've played miserable baseball the past ten or so days, then we need Sale to win on Sunday and give us a split in the series.
