Watching E-Rod pitch is always painful, even when he pitches well.

You knew with bases juiced and one out that someone was going to GIDP. Still, Sox tack on 3 more. Should be enough.

We came back from a disheartening 17 inning loss last night and could have just mailed it in tonight but we didn't.  The Red Sox went out there and got the job done and won the series.  We hit and while E-Rod labored he gave us seven strong innings to help rest most of the bullpen.  I would like to say this series win helped us finally turn a corner that has eluded us all season thus far but this coming home stand will tell that story because right now we are 15-17 at home and we just have to be much better than that to prevail this season.  We need a gigantic blowout for the next week plus and then we can say they better take us serious.  I'm hoping to see it happen.

Thus win was deja vu in many respects to the WS in LA last year.  Lost a long extra innings affair leaving LOBs, getting behind the next game until a homer from Mitch, and we never looked back.

Erod pitched well against the best offense in the AL with the top power team in MLB.

I was thinking the same thing!
Good to see our team win the series against the American League wins leader,
Minnesota Twins.
Keep it going!

They've looked good the past few days, even the game they lost.  Pitching has been very good for the most part but they've been aggressive on the bases, they're making the plays they wouldn't make earlier in the year (you know JBJ would have dropped that ball a month ago), they seem to be getting production throughout the lineup - other than from Betts who still came up with some big hits in this series.  Now they've got to maintain the intensity for this home stand and beat up on two poor teams.  Let's hope they're not focused on the London trip (which is interesting from a fan point of view but just another part of the stupid schedule they gave the Sox this year.)
