Omg is John Smoltz horrible.  He never shuts up.  He over analyzes everything.  He often contradicts himself with his next breath. The announcing on the networks has gotten so bad that it is making the games virtually unwatchable.

He simply talks too much, so much so that he brings down the percentage of his solid assertions with some nonsense that makes little sense.  Maybe being a color man would be more appropriate for him instead of doing play by play which seems that's what he'd doing much of the time.  I've lost him a few times last night trying to figure what his  role is, but living in  the Los Angeles area I've gotten used to that kind of rambling on and on.  Ever hear Orel Hershiser drone on an on.  He is a good doctor for making you want to snooze in front of the TV set, but as Ted just said, what an ending that game was.

Thanks Nick, but the 29 went out the window decades and decades ago.  Try 84 this time around.

The video of the Yankee fan trying to snatch the ball from Mookee's glove says it all about NYC sportsmanship.  I think the Yankees have clutched the title for the most uncouth fans in baseball.

Elk, uncouth is actually a compliment for those low life bums last night.  Fact is, there more of them like that polluting the ballpark so I wasn't surprised to see something like that happen.

I had heard that they were going to be allowed back but just heard on the radio that they will not be.  They could have seriously hurt Mookie the way they were grabbing that, never mind the fan interference part.

Kudos to the Yankees Front Office for giving the tickets of the fans they banned to the youngster battling cancer.

The blogs from Yankee guys like Michael Kay, describing the game 5 5th inning NY collapse, was one for the ages.  It warmed my devious side.

More than the broadcast, I enjoyed the Fox postgame with Big Papi, ARod and Jeter.  They really got into the games.
