Stay the course?????????  Ids Choking Cora efen kidding me?  That course could lead to another defeat today.  What the hell does Bradley have on Cora or the Red Sox front office that he can stay in the lineup with that 140 average over ST and yesterday?  This is insane and it guarantees that Alex will be in the cross hairs of a lot of people.  God help him if he loses again today---whch he just might with that batting order and the people he has in the lineup.  He is asking for it.  Dombrowski, you better get your ass involved before the season floats away from us.

Cora needs to cut this crap out. Price was on a roll and he pulls him with way under 100 pitches? I could see it if he had 5 or 6 runs to work with, but with a single run lead, you go with what's working.

At least they got out of the 8th. Let's see if Kimbrel really is ready.

Fred to Mark-----this batting order stinks as I have said repeatedly, and Bradley must be benched once and for all.  Betts should not be batting leadoff, nor Benintendi batting second.  Betts should be hitting third, Benny fifth and JD should NOT be DHing.  He needs to play in the field.  He does better when he is playing the outfield.  Nunez, Bogaerts, Betts, Martinez and Benintendi should be one through five with Ramirez sixth.  Cora is fast proving me that he is a dud----and only after two games.  We might be having similar problems with him that we had with Farrell.

Yes, Bogey has done a helluva job so far.  Could be he has found himself and is determined to shut me and his critics up.  It could be he is on his way back to a productive player, but Bradley isn't and Cora must get his head out of his ass and bench him permanently before we find someone to take this guy off of our hands.

We cannot wait until the deadline to get rid of that guy.  As long as he's around someone connected with the team is going to use their influence to shoehorn him back into the lineup.  We can send him down to Pawtucket but my take is that he wouldn't do much down there and his value would be totally wasted.  We must find someone who needs a CF and try to convince a team to take a chance on him.  He does field well and when he does hit he has some power, but he is a bad fit for Boston and he is keeping Sam Travis in the minors.  Personally, know w hat I would do?????????  I would put him on waivers and see what interest there is in him.  If no one claims him, then RELEASE HIM.  Again, as long as he's around there will always be the temptation to give him "another chance".  I'm sick of the guy.  He needs to go.

My man Cora......Hey Rob, thanks for the comedic relief.  I've needed something to laugh at the past two days.  As for taking out Price I thought he could go the nine, but even though with less than 80 pitches he might have indicated that he was on fumes.  Then, again, Cora might have been sharpening up his Farrell persona with another dumb move.

Right Rob---that could work out well.  My take is that I feel that Martinez plays better  when he is in the field, but the change you are suggesting sits well with me now that I have cooled off a bit and looked at it with a little more common sense.  Maybe tomorrow.

With Price pitching like the old Price the Sox have 2 bona fide aces.

I'm not too worried about the hitting.....WE NEVER COULD HIT LEFTIES!

Hope to see more action tomorrow.

Bogey is the only batter that has showed up so far.The has been excellent  at the plate albeit 2 games.

More so that his WRIST is completely healed & 100% from last year... Can't hit a baseball when the hands are in PAIN or lack of STRENGTH !! thumb_u iono

The results of wins over Rays is not a good sample.  Their lineup and pitching have been decimated by their GM/owners.  I think tonight they're going to their bullpen to find a "starter".  As Fred says, this series has to end 3 to 1, a split would be a mini-disaster considering what's left of a usual rival.

Since the beginning of last season, Kimbrel has pitched in 10 games against the Rays, not allowing a hit while striking out 26 of the 31 batters he faced.

David Price proved you don’t need great velocity to dominate. He averaged 92 mph during his 7 innings of shutout ball vs Rays.

Great nugget by Red Sox PR staff today. Sale and Price became first 2 Red Sox starters not to allow a run in first two games of season since Lefty Grove and Jim Bagby Jr. in 1940.
