Kelly does his thing. Great outing by Sale. Now they just need to close it out.

Kimbrel screwing up royally here. Trying hard to blow this game.

markj

Whew, snuck out of it. Sox win 4-2. Thought sure he was going to blow that.

Hopefully we don't see Kimbrel throw like that again for a long time.

AND the Rangers beat the Yankees 6 - 4.

GOOD night for Sox fans.

My heart was beating to beat the band and my stomach was queasy in the ninth inning.  Man, does it always have to be so hard with this team?  It would have been nice if Benny, Hanley, Bogaerts and Nuinez would have hit a little tonight and that's why we need to put as much offensive material out there as we can.  JBJ got an infield hit and a bloop single but at least he got on twice but perhaps we have to give Moreland and Holt more playing time since they ARE hitting while Ramirez has been back peddling for the past two weeks and I don't know what the hell is wrong with Nunez.  He looks nothing like he did last summer.

It's a good thing when Kimbrel struggles and we get the W.  Because Kimbrel gets the ugly 1 in 10 or so outing our of the way AND we win....

Kimbrel of course needs to be throwing that unhittable fastball he throws for strikes and an occasional breaking ball to keep them off balance.  But since he can't hit with the breaking ball it's not helping him.  He's leaving the soft stuff over the plate when he could be blowing it by guys.
