Xander with a 2-run dinger. Now 8-0. Hammel is getting hammered.
Good thing the Sox got to pummel Hammel, because this guy Smith has shut them down.
TOR with a 3-run lead over the Yanks in the 8th. Might turn out to be a very good night for the Sox.

Yankees lose 6-2, so the BP better not screw this one up.

Workman gives up a 2-run dinger. Now 9-4.
BP gave up 4 runs. Good thing there was a decent lead. But a win is a win. Yanks lose, so Sox are up by 2 games now and tied in the loss column. Sox with 60 wins.
Sox scored early and often and tacked on a couple at the end. Sale did well. Everyone got a hit. On to Saturday.
when our air conditioner went out I thought it might be a long and bad evening but the mood changed quickly when the Yankees lost while we dispatched the Royals 10-5 to pick up a game on them. The bullpen still worries me but we had that big lead so it didn't amount to much, but I think DD knows we have to get improvement there from the guys we have and hopefully a trade or two at the TD or before. Nothing to complain about though but we need to keep the line moving and continue to play solid baseball.
Sale get his 100th W. And Mookie get his career 100th HR.
