Sox hang on to win 5-4. Decent game overall.
Turned out well for Bello. With our pitchers going down, Bello had to pitch on four days rest. The last time he did that, he got bombed. Jansen had a rough 9th, getting out of it with two runners left on. On to the Guardsmen.

And I'll take it George, that and a series win over the Angels, a team that doesn't appear to be going anywhere this year either. Hope to see Devers back very soon. We do seem to have some power in our lineup which means we have to hit pretty well to compensate for our weak fielding and hot and cold pitching. I think the Cleveland series will tell us even more about our team. I keep wondering what our chances would be if the team has gone all in as Werner said we were going to do before Henry pulled the rug out. Jansen scared the hell out of me in the ninth inning but he got Trout on strikes and that is a good way to end the game even if my nails were bitten almost down to the nub.
That was rough to watch in the 9th which is about all I saw. Jansen said he can't get a feel for the ball as they're not rubbed well and are slippery. I actually heard a great interview with the guy that gets the mud from the Delaware River in a secret spot and provides to MLB and other leagues.
