Braves kill Marlins
« on: September 10, 2020, 09:48:43 AM »
I saw last night the Braves were beating the Marlins 25-9, only to find out they hit a grand slam before I could change the channel to watch it!  It was bizarre to see that score on the screen.

Here's the cool part - it was the first "Scorigami" (new final score) in over 20 years.

Before today, the last Scorigami was on May 19, 1999 when the Reds beat the Rockies 24-12

I think the Rangers beating the Is 30 - 3 in 2007 was a scorigami  since that is the modern record for most runs by a ML team.  Btw I was at that game.

Must have been a fun game to go to, if you weren't an Orioles' fan!

The funny thing was a buddy of mine got us the tickets for zip.  He had a relative in the Orioles ticket office.  We were right behind home plate.  It was so bad that we would have left early but we stayed because we wanted to see if the Ranger would set a record which they did.
