First of all, I don't know diddly about what has been projected by the Fenway Group FO.  I have an inkling that they did not go out and bid for an ace to the rotation, because they were holding on to their finances for the 2025 season.

Yet that strategy does not focus on all the additional owners who will be bidding in the market in 2025 season.  We could have built the staff with a couple prized arms this year for a good start to 2025 when there were only a handful of teams bidding.  Next year the FO will have to outbid many owners just to install another building block.

Now they're out of position players.  They called up Tyler Heineman so now they have 3 catchers and Dalbec to play 1B, which leaves them with nobody to play 3B if Devers is still out.  Apparently Refsnyder played 5 innings at 1B in his rehab and may be something of an option. 

Good game for Abreu, with three hits and a couple rbi's.  We got to Perez early for the lead.  I guess this was a bull pen game as Winch was pulled after 46 pitches.

The news on Casas, he's out and put on the 10 day IL with rib soreness.  Welcome Bobby D today, ouch.

Sox are ridled with injuries, but somehow winning games.  They get no favors playing in the ALEast.  Think about it, today Sox are still in last place (tied) in division, but have a better record than first-place LA Dodgers, with a gazillion in payroll.  Crazy game it is.

Crawford leaves after 6 innings. 1 run given up. Nice job. Sox lead 4-1.

Sox up 2-1 after 4.  But troublesome things with Casas.  He was pulled from the game after a big swing at a pitch.  If the Sox didn't have bad luck, they would have no luck at all.
