Just saw the rain chances, pretty high.  With games every day next 14 days, no days off, this belabored staff has to be hoping for a break.

What's working against us is Cora's stubborn ineptness, our underachieving starting rotation, our horse dung relief corps and a team that seems content to just go through the motions.  This started in ST and has carried over to the present time with the players taking on the same uninspired attitude the manager initiated last March.

Short rain delay.  Early lead, but Raffy doules in the 4th and plates 2 rbis.  4-1.

E-Rod with the win. Workman with the save. On to Thursday at 1:05pm Eastern.

Just be glad we won this game tonight because we certainly didn't look like a team contending for anything but an early October trip to their homes.  But we better just be grateful for what we ge.  Notice that Kimbrel got another quick save for the Cubs today.  Well as long as we don't too carried away a few nice wins down the road will at least make this season more palatable.  And, yes, our bullpen still leaks, or is a better word reeks?

Game was like bleeding a turnip.  Took us 14 bits for 5 runs, Jays got 4 runs on 5 hits.  Somehow it took our BP 58 pitches to vet the last 6 outs.....Workman 49 pitches in 1.1 innings iirc.

Relief pitching is tough.  Yesterday, maybe the best closer, Hater of the Brewers gave up two runs in the 9th and escaped with the bases still loaded.
