We have to keep the line moving guys. There is no time for a fallback, a Cora brain cramp, slumps by key players or a pitching collapse.  We have a decent chance to make the post season but we have a tough game tonight and three with the Yankees, though in our home park where we usually do well against them. But win tonight; force Toronto and New York to keep pace or fall farther behind.  It can be done if our team has thewill to make it happen.

As it turns out,  the Rays are pounding the Jays tonight in a bullpen day for Toronto.  7-0 in the 4th.  We can create some space on our closest pursuer with a "W".

Later …  Jays pitcher beaned Kiermaier,  both benches emptied but no fighting ensued.  Rays did win the game.

Pillar with a rare miscue gives Iggy an inside the park dinger. Now 9-1.

At 89 pitches and with a 10 run lead, I have to think Sale is done for the night.
