Looks like Wong and a RHP named John Schreiber who I've never heard of.  https://www.mlb.com/player/john-schreiber-670167

Alex has a lot on his plate right now and it is no picnic for him to be a manager right now.  Players have been falling likes flies and yet we seem to be playing better because everyone has stepped up.  It would be swell if we keep picking each other up and make this a decent streak.  We really need to make up for that brutal August and have the best September we can get.  Any thought about signing Jose Iglesias?  He was released by the Angels but is an experienced SS and does have Red Sox bloodlines and is better than an untested kid like Lopez who is giving it all he has but is giving a lot away in experience.

Iglesias has a good size contract, right?  Could put us over the tax line.  I think that's a reason we didn't go after the pitcher Hand.

Good call on Iglesias.  This is absolutely nuts though - we're bringing on guys to hold together a team that will have different players finish and continue hopefully into the postseason.

What I want to see Ted is for our team to make amends for that pitiful performance yesterday, stop feeling sorry for themselves and enough of the excuses---and then go out there and win themselves and their fans a game tonight.  Chris Sale was to the point and didn't flinch from taking his share of the blame and exhorting his teammates to do the same and get back on the winning trail.  A win tonight would go a long way in reviving our spirit and getting back on,the beam.  Can we do it though????

Pivetta joins the list. He was out due to being a close contact, but now he's tested positive. And Arroyo, as noted elsewhere, is having more serious symptoms and will be out longer than hoped.

Chris Smith on Masslive reports Kutter Crawford or Connor Seabold will probably pitch in Pivetta’s spot this weekend in Chicago.  Also Bogey could be reinstated for that Series Friday.

Mottor was DFAd and Franchy optioned to make room for Kike’ and Santana.  Life on the Sox whirlwind tour 2021!

If Mottor was DFA's why wasn't Franchy.  Mottor was a terrible fielder on Sunday but he got two hits; Franchy has been terrible in all facets of the game since he was  brought up .  He needs to go.  No way must the Red Sox build a team for the future with him playing a big part.  He is just not that good.  In fact, I think he stinks.

The ailing Sox are slowly coming off C19 quaranteen.  Arroyo is arriving in Boston Thursday for intake process.  Pivetta still in limbo.

“The group of players who have been quarantining in St. Petersburg, Fla. -- relievers Matt Barnes and Hirokazu Sawamura and infielders Xander Bogaerts and Yairo Muñoz -- are expected to fly to Chicago to meet the Red Sox on Thursday night. All four players tested positive between Aug. 30 and Sept. 1.” Testing and physicals notwithstanding.

That would be great if Arroyo is recovering as he seemed to be the sickest.  The main thing is getting Bogey's bat back in the lineup.
