Mookie scratched bad foot and Holt sick could not play. Not that is means anything at this point.

Well somehow with that horse dung lineup we were able to prevail 2-1.  Always good to beat a contender and on the road to boot by a one run.  These victories are always nice and they are all that we have to look forward to, but Cora will find out that the Hernandez duet in that lineup tonight are NOT the stuff the team needs going forward next season. Little Marco is a utility player PERIOD, and not a very smart or intuitive ballplayer.  Gorgys gives it his all but if he couldn't cut it with the Giants he sure as hell has his work cut for him with the Red Sox.  Good pitching though tonight and that will be mised tomorrow when Rick the Dick goes out there and get pummeled again.  Thank God we won't have to see him in Red Sox livery next season  unless the front office has completely gone out of hit gourd.

A 2-1 VICTORY ??  WOW, must have played with a BAD BATCH of BASEBALLS ????  Or MAYBE the BAT BOYS took all the JUICE out of them ???? thumb_u thumb_u thumb_u

Maybe Cora will play a hobbled Mookie and a sick Holt today.

No he didn't and he couldn't but it speaks volumes about the decline of our farm system that we have had to depend on stiffs like the Hernandez duet, not to mention some of those relievers who should be out stealing hub caps since they'd be more talented in that than the way they have pitched for us---Shawaryn, Lakens, Weber, just to name a few of those bums who may be thrown at us next season.

I think JBJ got the signal from management that his days are numbered.  He's now learning Spanish, no doubt getting ready for the Mexican league.   iono  iono
