2024 Red Sox Games / Re: GAME #11 - TUESDAY, APRIL ...

The prince turned into a pumpkin today.  Well not really unexpected and we do have a few of our hitters who aren't hitting and showing any signs of starting to do so.  Our defense is lousy and we do need to replace Valdez as soon as possible.  Well maybe tomorrow we play better.  I did like the pre-game ceremony though; brought back some good memories of a time when we became the most dominant team in the game.  It was pretty much a great 15 year run.

Maybe  one of these days again.

Corbin Burnes is making it tough on Sox batters.  We do have a run in a 3-1 ball game in the 5th.  O'Neill got a dinger in the 1st, his 6th.

Just saw that he has a fracture of the glenoid rim (that sounds bad) and will have surgery and is likely to miss the season.  Story to have shoulder surgery, likely to miss rest of season

Quote from: longgame on April 09, 2024, 10:51:42 AMI was looking for any sort of update after Story met with docs but haven't seen anything.  Team seems to be quiet on it.  I'm surprised a dislocated shoulder would require surgery or even end up being a very long term injury, but maybe I've seen too many movies where they just jam it back in and the person is fine.

Ted, I saw a report last night that the followup X-rays showed an issue with "bone structure". That sounds ominous, does that mean a multiple break? He is flying to LA to see a doc.

Meanwhile Pitetta went on the 15 day IL with an elbow ulnar issue.

Wow, the hits keep on coming.  While we've seen some good performances, the depth is suspect.  Yikes.

Would have been nice to see the ceremonies with the 04 team and tribute to Wake, but NESN decided to mark the whole time as Sox vs O's so it's blacked out here, because Baltimore, an 8 hour drive, is a "home" team.  Always ticks me off lol.

Poor Dalbec, just can't hit at the MLB Level. Maybe someone thinks they can fix him but they won't get much out of this long project.
