Since MLB dropped ESPN as middle of week viewing for baseball, they have been looking to fill the spot.  Barstool Sports has entered the conversation for an on air gaming of baseball.  Maybe the old game could use a boost from new viewership, or to get more millions in the owners pockets. I’ll believe the latter.

Major League Baseball and Penn National Gaming's (PENN -0.4%) Barstool Sports are in "significant negotiations" over broadcasting national midweek games with a focus on in-game betting, according to New York Post. The games could be an alternative broadcast to the regional sports network feeds.

I have repeatedly ranted about how badly ESPN broadcasts baseball.  I hope MLB can find an outlet that does a better job.

I have no problem with this.  ESPN just butchers baseball broadcasts.  But let's make sure this doesn't take them off the air and make it less available.
